Mercedes-Maybach stands for the ultimate in exclusivity and individuality. The absolute top-of-the-range model from the luxury brand is the Pullman with vis-à-vis seating behind the partition screen. Now the high-end luxury class from Mercedes-Benz is becoming even more exquisite. A new radiator grille and new exclusive colour combinations in the interior make for a new appearance. The longest model from the S-Class family with a length of 6.50 metres can be ordered starting on 15 March.
New face.
A reinterpretation of the Mercedes-Maybach radiator grille with its fine, vertical struts accentuates the front end. The grille was inspired by a pinstriped suit. It celebrated its world premiere in the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, the exclusive coupé concept car which thrilled connoisseurs and fans of the brand in 2016. The exterior appearance of the top-of-the-range model is rounded off by the 20-inch wheel in 10-hole design known from the Mercedes-Maybach. For an even more individual appearance, the range of paint finishes by customer demand now also includes the two-tone paint finishes presented with the Mercedes-Maybach S‑Class. The new exclusive colours magma grey, mahogany brown and silk beige/deep sea blue are available in the interior.
Exceptionally spacious.
Its length of 6.50 metres alone is a sign of the special status of the Mercedes‑Maybach Pullman. It provides space for a generously sized and tastefully appointed club lounge in the rear, with a multitude of creature comforts fitted as standard, thereby ensuring the chauffeur-driven limousine lives up to today’s expectations of what constitutes maximum exclusivity and luxury. The VIP occupants sit on two standard-specification executive seats facing the direction of travel. They can enjoy the largest legroom in the segment; and can get in and out of the car with the greatest of ease and comfort. As is typical for a Pullman, the four passengers can sit facing each other in the compartment with an electrically operated partition. Also new for the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is a front view camera. Rear passengers are thus able to monitor the traffic in front of the vehicle even when the partition screen is closed.
Exclusivity at its highest level.
Many governments, heads of state and royal families around the world have, for decades, chosen Mercedes-Benz saloon cars with the designation “Pullman” to travel in the stately style befitting their status. With the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman, the company is underscoring its exceptional position in this discerning segment: in addition to providing spacious seating in first-class comfort for high-ranking passengers, the new Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is of course also the embodiment of exclusivity at its highest level. One can sense the significance and greatness of it in every detail.
The “2 cabin sound” feature of the sound system offers more exclusivity than ever before. Thanks to independent control for the front and rear passenger compartment, the occupants of the Pullman enjoy even more personalised music. The price of the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman starts at around half a million euro. The V12 biturbo engine of the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman now has an output of 463 kW (630 PS).

Возрожденный Maybach как отдельный бренд успеха не добился: за десять лет удалось продать немногим более трех тысяч седанов Maybach 57 и 62. Но перезагрузка и новый статус суббренда оказались успешными: за пять лет выпущено более 60 тысяч удлиненных седанов Mercedes-Maybach S-класса! Причем Россия стала одним из ключевых рынков для модели (наряду с Китаем, Германией, США и Южной Кореей): у нас на Майбахи приходится более четверти продаж S-класса. Словом, такая бизнес-модель себя оправдала на все сто, поэтому новый Mercedes-Maybach не заставил себя долго ждать: топ-версию показали сразу после базовой модели серии W/V223, которая еще даже не успела добраться до дилеров.
Рецепт создания Майбаха на базе S-класса ничуть не изменился: профиль с увеличенными задними дверями и дополнительными окошками в задних стойках кузова прежний. Хотя если у старой модели X222 колесная база была растянута на 200 мм (относительно длинной версии V222), то у нового Майбаха с индексом Z223 прибавка составила только 180 мм. В итоге — 3396 мм между осями против 3365 мм у предшественника. А длина машины со сменой поколения выросла едва заметно — с 5453 до 5469 мм.
Снаружи Maybach отличается от исходного S-класса другой решеткой радиатора, дополнительными шильдиками и оригинальными колесами (диаметром 19, 20 или 21 дюйм), а выдвижные дверные ручки включены в базовую комплектацию, тогда как для обычных седанов это опция. Также за доплату можно заказать двухцветную окраску кузова, недоступную стандартному S-классу.
Технически новый Mercedes-Maybach полностью унифицирован с обычным S-классом. У него штатная пневмоподвеска, за доплату можно установить активную гидропневматическую подвеску E-Active Body Control и полноуправляемое шасси (оно уменьшает диаметр разворота на два метра), а в 2021 году появится еще и Drive Pilot, то есть трассовый автопилот.
На самых приоритетных рынках продажи новых седанов Mercedes-Maybach S-класса начнутся уже до конца этого года. Судя по всему, Россия среди них. Хотя даже в Германии машины появятся лишь весной 2021 года. Уходящий Maybach 222-й серии у нас стоит от 11 млн рублей, а новый наверняка подорожает.

Первый внедорожный Maybach рассекречен официально: им стал эпатажный Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, засвеченный еще на прошлой неделе. Апофеоз восточного представления о роскоши и престиже, самый необычный транспорт для нуворишей и самый внедорожный лимузин в одном флаконе.
С такой ходовой частью и шинами 325/55 R22 дорожный просвет составляет 450 мм, а общая высота машины — 2235 мм. Поэтому без откидных подножек не обойтись. Естественно, сохранена родная трансмиссия G-класса с постоянным полным приводом и блокировками всех трех дифференциалов. Так что с проходимостью должен быть порядок.
Но нужна ли она такому Ландоле? Целевая аудитория новой машины — миллионеры преимущественно из стран Персидского залива, хотя совершенно точно будут заказы и из России. В этом случае важны отнюдь не качества, а сам факт обладания столь необычным автомобилем, конкурентов которому в мире попросту нет. Всего изготовят 99 необычных G-Майбахов. Для сравнения: трехосных пикапов G 63 AMG 6x6 сделали чуть больше сотни.
Судя по всему, роскошный Landaulet станет одной из последних версий нынешнего G-класса. А в следующем году появится серьезно модернизированный внедорожник, главной особенностью которого станет новое шасси с независимой подвеской.

The Mercedes-Maybach S 650 is based on the open-top S-Class and has adopted the latter’s classic aesthetic proportions, among other features, with highlights which include the dynamic silhouette with coupé-like soft top and the sidewall dropping line which slopes down towards the rear.
The high-end appointments in the interior make up part of the vehicle’s special characteristics. The drive system requirements are catered for by the 6.0-litre V12 engine with an output of 463 kW (630 PS).
Exclusive fabric cover and certificate.
The scope of delivery of each Mercedes-Maybach Cabriolet includes a car cover made of high-quality fabric in the soft top colour, with diamond quilting and embroidered Maybach emblem and lettering on the bonnet. In addition, each Mercedes-Maybach Cabriolet is delivered with a special welcome pack.
This comprises a key ring made of the nappa leather used in the vehicle and in the interior colour, with Maybach emblem and “1 of 300” lettering, as well as a certificate signed by Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.

The powertrain: A fitting biturbo V12.
The luxury cabriolet’s superior drive system relies on the 6.0-litre biturbo V12 engine with an output of 463 kW (630 PS). Power transmission to the rear axle comes courtesy of the 7G-TRONIC, while the AIRMATIC suspension with steplessly variable damping control ensures a special driving sensation.
The first cabriolet of the Mercedes-Maybach brand is celebrating its debut at the LA Auto Show and is all set to hit markets in the spring of 2017 – limited to 300 examples and with a net price tag of 300,000 euros.

Ещё в 2019 году компания Mercedes стала прощаться с легендарным двигателем V12, который последним установили на Mercedes AMG S65. Всего было выпущено 130 экземпляров данной модели. Тем не менее, новый Mercedes-Maybach S 650 NE стал ещё более ограниченным. По словам представителей компании, всего планируют выпустить 15 экземпляров данного седана.
Спинка заднего сиденья сможет наклоняться на 43 градуса, так же доступна аудиосистема Burmester с качественным звуком, система ночного видений и мультимедийная система с дисплеем на 12,3″. Теперь о технических характеристиках Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Night Edition. Под капотом инженеры спрятали тот самый легендарный V12 двумя турбинами.
Суммарная мощность 630 лошадок, а максимальный крутящий момент 1000 Нм. В паре к двигателю работает 7-ми ступенчатая трансмиссия 7G-Tronic Plus, с передачей мощности только на задний привод. До отметки 96 км/час (60 миль/час) Mercedes-Maybach S 650 NE может разогнаться за 4,6 секунды, при этом максимальная скорость ограничена программным путем на отметке 250 км/час.
Как уверяют представители компании, все 15 экземпляров Mercedes-Maybach S 650 NE продадут на территории США. Стартовая цена седана составляет от 242950 долларов США, а это на $40400 дороже, чем обычная версия Mercedes-Maybach S650. По разным данным на автомобили уже есть предзаказы, хотя говорят, что 99% экземпляров распродано до официального старта.
